Important : Read this before filing your ITR

Hey Folks,

Alert 31st July 2024 is coming file your ITR as early as possible to avoid site crash.

Recently I got to know that people are struggling to find the difference between 10IE and 10IEA. I know finance professionals can quickly discern the distinction.

However, CABUDDY is here to assist those who may not grasp it yet. So Let’s discuss it in detail.

Previously Government did not set the NEW REGIME as a default regime, instead of that OLD REGIME was the default so those who wanted to opt for NEW REGIME have to file form 10IE to make their tax calculations as per new regime.

But, now the  Government again changed their rules in the financial year 2023-24 and made the NEW REGIME as their default regime. So now those who want to opt for Old Regime have to file 10IEA  but this is not for all taxpayers. For better clarity I will explain it in bits and pieces.

Hope you guys found the article useful while understanding 10IEA. If you are struggling to file your ITR.
